Who Are We?
Having held our first meeting on June 4, 1978, we are now approaching 35 years of Ministry in the Katy area. We’re proud of our heritage – but even prouder that we know we’ve only just begun in our life as part of this vibrant community.
As a part of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), we are a mainline Protestant church – proud of our heritage as a uniquely American denomination. We were founded on principles of independence of thought, diversity of perspectives and unity of all Christians. We are truly “one in the spirit.”
A primary quality of our worship – in addition to an emphasis on the loving, life-giving Gospel of Jesus Christ – is our weekly observance of Communion – a table, which is open to all who come in the name of Jesus. It is His table – and His invitation.
